Hi Matt, any chance of doing something with Apple TV? I have some documentation and am happy to donate a unit if that helps.

Hi Iain,

It's currently not possible.  The hardware/firmware of the xp8 doesn't allow for incoming connections which are required for auto discovering devices such at the ATV and Sonos.  Once these are overcome i'll revisit these devices.

Hi Matt

Any success with this driver yet ?
No really phased with 2 way but would be fine just for basic control as opposed to using IR ?

Yes 1-way control works, but only with ATV1.

Well, I was tidying up the code so it would actually be usable and noticed it had stopped working (it wouldn't pair with the ATV).  At first I thought Apple had updated the firmware and it had broken the pairing, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I'm still investigating what the issue is.  I'll post when I know more.
