HDI Dune

Hi there

It would be great if a driver for the HDI Dune could be written, we have plenty in the field, and lots of customers using IP control but via ipad apps.  Would love to be integrating IP control into our RTI projects as it responds so much faster over IP, just basic one way commands would be perfect.

Protocol looks simple enough, but i would need hardware to test against (worst case a remote box that I can connect to).

However, it looks like you have to poll for info which means it won't be fast enough to get realtime updates on playback position.

I'm also unsure how you "browse" for files to play via the protocol?

Any of the existing control apps are simple one way commands, basically recreating the IR remote, reason for wanting the IP control for me is the speed it controls the dune players compared to the original remote (bizarre but true).

Im not sure anything has been done yet with any browse ability or indeed play position in terms of this even being supported in the dune firmware.
