Title: Australian Monitor - AV Revolution
Post by: Matt on January 08, 2011, 04:06:46 PM
We have started work on a driver for the AV Revolution DSP.

The hope is to allow control via IP or RS485.

Not sure what you mean?  This is the hardware we're working with:

Driver is complete and works with IP and RS485.

The polling is a little slow but given how many parameters can change there's not much I can do about it.  I've added config settings to disable polling for zones that aren't being used which speeds things up.

Fixed a bug in master volume inc/dec and some params not updating when polling multiple zones.  If you're already using this driver I strongly recommend upgrading to v1.4 (or higher).

Hi Matt,

My name is Wayne, I am the Engineering Manager for Australian Monitor.

If you would like to PM me your email details, I can send you a much more detailed protocol document I completed recently for the AV Revolution. It includes parameter ID's of all DSP functions also. I will be releasing similar for the Zone Revolution also very soon.

I am keen to understand the platform your driver runs on, are you willing to tell me more about this?

Regards,

Wayne Osborn.
