Title: Re: URC PSX2 driver for RTI Post by: Matt on March 05, 2011, 02:53:06 PM I'm guessing we don't have this in Australia. What is it, how is it controlled and where can I get a loan unit from?
Title: Re: URC PSX2 driver for RTI Post by: Glackowitz on March 05, 2011, 02:56:00 PM Its the universal remote ipod dock
Its IP controlled with their remotes now, Crestron has an IP Module for control now, http://www.universalremote.com/products/residential/sources/psx-2 Title: Re: URC PSX2 driver for RTI Post by: Matt on March 05, 2011, 05:26:19 PM Ah, it's THAT urc! I always assumed RTI and URC didn't mix!
Shall keep my eye out for one to develop against. Title: Re: URC PSX2 driver for RTI Post by: AndyM on March 06, 2011, 08:08:31 AM There is a Crestron driver (developed by someone outside of Crestron) for the PSX2... I have to assume that it can be done for RTI.
Even the URC rep said that the Crestron guys are buying them left and right. Title: Re: URC PSX2 driver for RTI Post by: Matt on July 14, 2011, 10:06:12 PM Well, good and bad news about this one.
First the good news. I managed to get a bunch of 1-way commands working. Basically you can control the onscreen GUI, select songs, play them etc. So if you have it connected to a TV for feedback this works great. The bad news. The PSX-2 sends all the feedback via multicast UDP. Guess which processors currently don't support this? Yep, the XP6 and XP8. Sucks right? So if there's a need for a 1-way driver i'll put one out, otherwise start lobbying your local RTI employee to add multicast UDP support :) |
